Freedom Pro Strobe Palette Review

Cooee,

I am a massive fan of both strobing and contouring! Superdrug brought a new brand to their website and I decided to purchase their contour palette and this came with a brush - all for only £10! LINK

The palette comes with three different shades of contour ( light to dark). The shades I would prefer to have more of a grey- ash undertone to make them suit my skin colour better. I find I mix light and medium to get my perfect shade and it works well as a mixture of a contour and bronze shade.

The top line is a mixture of a white powder shimmer , a banana like powder and cream powder. The white highlight like shade is too light to be a highlight for my skin tone however works well mixed with a liquid highlight. The banana like powder , I often use to set my concealer and I don't really use the cream coloured powder.

The brush is very thin and when ever I use it to contour especially, I have to use another brush to blend as it creates a straight line and I have found that you cant blend with it.

Overall, I like the palette and I feel that it is good for the price compared to the ABH palette. I have heard good things from the brand itself and I really want to try their strobing cream. The palette does come in cream form also.

Red Collection

Cooee,

Its been a long time , hasn't it? My last post was February and its now the last day of June! I decided to take time off to focus on my last exams. But I now have the entire summer to myself with no commitments so I have decided to take some time to blog!

So I have been obsessed with buying lipsticks and I thought that I would show my existing red lip collection!

Left to Right

Clinique - Poppy Pop

MUA - Shade 1

Seventeen- Date Night

Seventeen- Rule Breaker

MAC- Russian Red

Dior- Ultra Gloss Flash 856

I have been loving a red lip especially for nights out with friends or either prom which I had recently. I feel that a red bold lip helps bring an outfit together and works well with a simple eye look also! My tip would be to ALWAYS use a lip liner to get a sharp line and I like to conceal around the top lip also.

So that's my red lip collection not including an mini lipsticks or liquid as I wish to write a separate post

The Perfect Trio

Cooee,

So I have been absent from the blogging world recently due to school work. I have just started my exams and its my last year before university so I have concentrating on them.

It was my 18th birthday on Monday and I was truly spoilt by my family and friends. I may do a what I got for my birthday but I haven't finished doing my visiting ( not that I'm excepting anything)

However, I did get three MAC eye shadows to start my very own pallete.

They to me are the perfect three not only do they work together but separately as well

Wood Wink

Wedge

Sketch

These 3 eye shadows can be worn as a day look and as a night look.

I will keep you up dated with how my pallete goes including some of the looks I try out

A Winter Essential

Cooee,

So I have been super busy with school and university that blogging has not been able to fit in. Where I have been stressed and worried about deadlines and interviews , my body has been taking the fall for it.

I'm tired all the time and the weather at the moment is so cold which is never a positive. But today's post is all about a little cheap product which at the minute is a life saver.

Its Superdrug's own Lip and Cold Sore Cream.

A while ago, my lips which incredible sore and i had beeen trying all the best known product ranging from remedies to the expensive lip balms. BUt this was the only product which helped them and I have found myself going back to it every time and during the winter it has become a vital part of my night routine.

At the minute, my lips are so sore and I thought that why not write a recommendation post. LIke it says on the packaging it's for cold sores and dry cracked lips. I use it for the latter but it does really work.

The product is super cheap and I have found that it works within a day or two. It has a thick consistance but thins out once applied to your lips. Also its great hand bag size.

Its an essential for me especially at the minute as my lips are so dry.

Let me know what products you use for when you have dry chapped lips or if you have even tried this product.

Face of the Day

Cooee,

So I have had given myself some time from blogging during the christmas period due to having a mountain of school work as well as having a part time job.

But recently I have been more experimental with my makeup so I thought that I would show you my christmas day face. I wanted to use a red eyeshadow which I recently purchased.

However what is key with this makeup look is that there is no foundation. I was having a good skin day and I feel that no one on the internet highlights that having a good skin day doesn't need to have layers of foundation or makeup needed.

Products;
Smashbox Brow Trio
Smashbox contour and bronze kit
Benefit Watts Up
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer-- The tiniest amount for under my eyes
NYX Rust eyeshadow -- Wet brush and I heavily blended upwards towards the crease
Benefit Bad Gal Lash
Younique Lip liner
MAC Mehr

So that was my makeup for christmas day, I hope you all had a lovely christmas and enjoyed spending time with family and friends

Review | Forever Living

Cooee,

So if you saw my last post *HERE* then you will be expecting this post. If not and you are new then last week I wrote a First Impressions on some products given to me by an ambassador of the company, Forever Living.

This week, I am writing a review on some different products from the same company. I have been trailing these products for about a week so I understand my opinion isn't based on a long term trail but it will give a basic idea of each product.

Aloe Nourishing Serum

Product- Its quite a think toner which has a creamy feel to it. Three pumps every morning and night is recommended.

View- I love this product! Its like a drink for your skin! It makes your skin feel so soft and three pumps is needed as your skin drinks it up so fast. After applying, I found that the product would work great as a primer before your makeup as it really does smooth out your skin!

Rehydrating Toner

Product- It acts like any other toner and it works well along side the cleaner. Place the toner on a cotton pad and in circular motions, move around face until all makeup is removed.

View- I found that the smell of the product put me off and I found that it didn't remove my makeup or make my skin fell clean as well as my other toners. Overall, this is not my favourite but I love the lid of the bottle as it makes the product less messy.

Aloe Cleaner

Product- A creamy texture and follow the same instructions as the toner.

View- The smell is better than the toner and I found that there was quite a lot of product left on my face after using it- even with using a clean cotton pad to remove again. Its quite thick and I think that why.

Aloe Jojoba Shampoo

Product- its quite simple- You use this like any other shampoo

View- My mum tried this product and she loved it! My mum has shoulder length hair which she straightens everyday and since using this she doesn't have too. This is a big positive in my mum's book. You don't need a lot apparently which means that the bottle would be worth the money. She loves the conditioner also.

So that's it! My little reviewing collection of Forever Living. So far I have been loving the products and I cant wait to try some more in the future. Let me know that if you have tried Forever Living and the products you have!

First Impressions

Cooee,

So I have been working with the brand Forever Living *LINK* whose an ambassador , a friend of my mum, asked me to try some of their products. As I was given so many to try , I thought I would start with a first expressions and my opinion after one try then next week how the products worked and whether I truly liked them. Before I start, I want to make sure that it is clear that all opinions are my own and this is not an ad.

The brand is one of the biggest providers of products containing Aloe Vera. They use this due to its benefits to your skin as well as it being completely natural.

Aloe Scrub

The product description- Gentle exfoliating scrub which can be used daily and is gentle enough for use on the face. When applied, you should use your fingertips and apply in circular motions for 2-3 minutes.

Product- It has very fine exfoliating beads (?) which I feel make it less harsh on the skin. I followed the instructions on the side of the packaging, however, I feel that the recommended time of 2-3 minutes is a little far fetched especially if someone was in a rush in the morning. My skin did softer after using the product and as a whole, I would recommend this especially for people who feel that the exfoliators which harsher exfoliating beads are too harsh for their skin.

Aloe Moisturizing Lotion

The product description- Thick and creamy moisturiser. Great for very dry skin as a primer for makeup and used along side the hand and face soap ( a product sold by the company) to combat spots and any other blemishes.

Product- This product does what it says on the tin , it great for dry skin especially during these harsh winter months when my skin usually is very dry. I decided to test it on this own instead of under my foundation. But I will add a comment if it works as a primer in next weeks post. The crème is very thick however, it does get absorbed by the skin very quickly. Its great for on the go!

Tooth Gel

The product description- Fluoride free tooth gel contains Aloe which is a natural antiseptic and whitener. Great for healthy teeth and gums

Product- As you can see from the picture, its bright green however, I must say after two uses my teeth do feel cleaner and I can feel the freshness all day. Its quite a powerful minty scent and flavour and apparently its great for children too! I will like for the moisturiser add a comment next week for how I feel about the whitening statement.

Marine Mask

The product description- Clay type mask to be used once or twice a week to cleanse face and help tor educe appearance of pores and blackheads.

Product- I applied the mask and it was quite thick yet when i started to apply it turned very thin and clear. You couldn't see the mask on the skin. It recommends to keep the mask on for 15-20 and I followed this. However, sadly my skin had a bad reaction so i feel it is un fair to make any other comments. I loved the product however, my skin didn't.

So there are 4 different first impressions of Forever Living and so far I'm loving the different variety of products to chose from. Next week, there will be different products from the same brand however, how I feel about them after trying them for a week.

Let me know if you have heard or even tried the products yourself?

Winter Look

Cooee,

So I have a couple of lipsticks which I have not worn yet so I thought that I would try one and I loved it . That made me think that I would write a little blog post on my perfect combination of lip products.

The two products I used were

Seventeen - Date Night LINK
Topshop Liner - Deception ( Very Similar) LINK

Both products stayed on all night and didnt move. It was the perfect colour combination that worked well with my glittery eyes ( MAC All that glitters). I also contoured and bronzed my face using a combination of smashbox contour kit and benefit hoola bronzer.

Also my outfit for the night was ASOS

I loved my makeup and outfit (if I do say so myself) and I loved the formula of the Seventeen lipstick- Highly recommend!

Get Ready with Me | Awards Edition

Cooee,

So yesterday , if you are reading this Monday, I was lucky enough to get tickets for the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards for me and my friends. It was an amazing concert and the teen heros were amazing inspirations. Also Justin Bieber performed as a surprise which no one saw coming.

Before I start, I would like to say sorry for the quality of the photo as I was planning this post and I planned to get my friends to take outfit photos for me and I totally forgot.

MAC Lipstick Collection

Cooee,

I love my MAC lipstick collection and I like to think that every one in my collection is different. I try to buy a different color or shade every time.
I thought that since I just brought a new MAC shade that I would show you my little collection. I say little because the lipstick collections I see are huge compared.
So lets begin..

MAC Crème Cup

My first MAC lipstick and I love it to death. Its my go to nude lipstick for when I want a bit of colour. Its a pink tone and the classic your lips but better shade. I recently wore this shade for my wedding get ready for me *LINK*. I love pairing it with either a subtle lip liner or a bold to make it stand out. I would recommend this to anyone who isn't brave enough to wear a bold lip or wants to purchase a MAC Lipstick.

MAC HoneyLove

This is a light brown shade which I think is more of a winter shade and one that I will be wearing all winter. Its a matte shade too. I don't wear this shade enough to be honest as it is a lovely shade. I got this when the Kylie Jenner matte brown lip was popular and no one knew what the shade she wore was. I loved this shade when I brought it and after this post, I need to wear it more.

MAC All Fired Up

I brought this shade online so it was more of a guess buy. I must be honest and say that I have yet to wear this shade, however, I love it never the less. Its one of my most boldest lipsticks and I think that's what I'm so nervous to wear it. Its a bold matte red pink. I cant really comment much on this one.

MAC Mehr

I got this one from the recommendation of Lily Pebbles *LINK*. I love watching her videos and she has been loving this lipstick and it seems like a perfect pink shade which is in the middle of light and bold. I have yet to wear this as I have only just brought it. But I can see this becoming my go to shade. I know I said that I like to think that I buy different shades every time but I actually have a very similar shade from NYX. Again, I cant comment too much on this as its a new purchase.

MAC Pink Poodle

This is not a lipstick but a gloss. I asked for this shade thinking that it was a lipstick and I'm not a lip gloss girl but I do love the bright pink shade. Its very gloss and sadly quite sticky. Its a good gloss to put over a lipstick to add shine to any make up look.

So that my collection! I like every shade and I don't buy for the sake of buying , even though my friends would say otherwise. If you would like to see my whole collection then comment below as I have a wide range of brands from Burberry to NYX and MUA.

L'Oreal Infallible Foundation | Review

Cooee,

I have been trailing this foundation for about a week or two now and I thought that it was about time that I wrote a review.

First Impressions

I love the packaging and the size of bottle. I also love the pump that it comes with.

The shade choice was good , however, at the stand that I went to didn't have many shades to chose from. But luckily I found what I thought was my shade.

The Shade

My shade is Vanilla and that's usually what I am in foundations normally. The shade is quite yellow toned which is perfect for my skin. I would say that looking at the range of shades that it has more yellow tones so that's something to keep in mind.

Application

You can see the brush I use in the picture, Its more of a blending brush. Its quite a thick foundation and it has a heavy coverage - maybe its too heavy for my everyday which I have been using it for. However, I think that's why it has it's 24 hour promise ( I haven't tried this yet).

I found blending it to be quite hard due to its thickness, I think that it would take some time to achieve the perfect blended finish.

Finish

Infallible
Rimmel Perfect Match

The two pictures above are a comparison of my normal every day and this one.
I found that the shade was perfect for me , however, it turns quite orange once I have finished my makeup. I think this would work better with a tan and for a night out when I can take my time applying.
The thickness puts me off from wearing it everyday but for a foundation for going out, its perfect.

Let me know if you have the foundation and what your opinions are!

Colour Pop | Eye Makeup

Cooee,

So I found an image on Facebook and it was of similar eye makeup. I loved the brown lid with the bright blue under eye. However, I wished to make it more of an everyday manageable look. I wanted the blue under liner to be noticeable however not too bold.

I used a mix of cream and powder eye shadow to create this look which for me is a first as I usually use powder.

I used all drug store makeup for this look.

Makeup;
BASE- Rimmal Scandeleyes 006 Rich Russet *LINK*
OVER LID- Revlon Taupe (Statin) My newest addition to my collection and I love the idea of creating my own palette using all the colours which I know I will love *LINK*
BOTTOM LASH- MUA Fog ( From the Ever After Palette) *LINK SIMILAR*
Liner- Umberto Giannini
Mascara- MUA Extreme Lash *LINK*
I hoped that you liked this look and let me know what your favourite combination of colours you like to use on your eyes.

Trans-Seasonal Make Up Look

Cooee,

So By trans-seasonal I mean the changing between summer to autumn. In the UK , the weather ( which has not been surprisingly) rainy with little sunshine. So for my makeup , I don't want it to be too summery nor to autumnal. This is , for me, a good mix of the two.

The dewy bronzed skin and blue eyeliner are quite summery , however, paired with a autumnal lip makes the trans-seasonal.

Foundation- MAC Face and Body ( My go to summer foundation)  *LINK*
Powder- MUA Pro Base Powder ( I couldn't recommend this enough!!)
Bronzer- Lipsy *LINK*
Eyebrows- MUA Brow Define (Found at Superdrug)
Eyeshadow ( over whole lid) - Taupe (Statin) Revlon *LINK*
Eye Liner- Blue by Umberto Giannini (Found at Boots)
Mascara- MUA Extreme Curl *LINK*
Lipstick- NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colours B52 *LINK*

I hope that you liked this look , let me know what your favourite look for summer/autumn is as I'm always looking for new looks to try:)

Branching out with my brushes

Cooee,

So I don't know if you have noticed but I love the brand Real Techniques for my makeup brushes and that's what the majority of my brushes are. But I have purchased a new brand and I have fallen in love with them.

The style is Kabuki  and I found out about these brushes from the blogger and YouTuber , Veletghost (LINK). So I have been looking  at them for a while on EBay ( as that's where you can purchase them from) (LINK) and when you purchase them , you receive 10 brushes- 5 face and 5 eye ( and I would say concealer).

First expression

The quality of the brushes are amazing for the cheap price. I like to have thick brushes and I was worried that these weren't going to be my liking , however, I was proven wrong. The softness of the brushes were good which means that applying makeup was going to be easy.

Shapes

The shapes of the face brushes are all different and are matched in the eye brushes. There are brushes which contouring would be perfect for. There is an eye pencil brush which I'm rather excited to use and is resembled in a face brush, perfect for concealer. I think that there is a brush for every product.

Although the eye brushes are rather large. They are so big for my little eyes but I believe that they are workable as well as the blending brush is perfect to get right in the eye crease.

The finish

Left- Real Techniques Right- Kabuki

I applied my everyday Rimmel Bb Cream and the flawless finish that was created was lovely. I felt that the brushes made the application of the foundation so easy and it didn't need buffing in as much as I would have usually done with my Real Techniques brush.

I wouldn't forget about my lovely real techniques brushes but they do have some competition.

Let me know about what brands you use for make up brushes

Gee x
