Cookie Recipe// Christmas

Cooee,

So I have found a super easy recipe for cookies. Now they are not very Christmassy but they can be made christmas through decoration and adding different spices.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED//

1 Cup of Sugar ( I use caster)
1 Egg
1 Cup of Peanut Butter ---- Or any thick flavouring, I love adding Chocolate Spread

1) Preheat the oven at gas mark 5 and grease proof the tray

2) Add sugar and egg

3) Add flavour ( For me peanut butter)

4) Stir and mix well until combined

5) Once finished, make mixture into small balls and place on tray.

6) Cook for roughly 9 minutes ( my oven is quite powerful) or until cooked.
TOP TIP- They may look uncooked however, they do cook once out of the oven.

There you are! The simplest cookie recipe which takes all of 5 minutes to prepare.

Let me know if you make them and what they turned out like

The Hot Chocolate Kit | Gees Grotto

Cooee,

So as part of Gee's Grotto, I decided to write about another gift idea which can also be a decoration after used. ( Explained after)

Look back for previous Gees Grotto Posts as I have been doing them all weekend

I got inspiration for this on Pinterest but I have changed it so it suits my friends. I made 6 in total , 5 large pots and 1 little pot ( secret santa idea).

I made hot chocolate kits with a little something , a homemade hot chocolate stirrer. Once the hot chocolate has been made , you stir in the chocolate stick to create a extra chocolate taste or it can just be eaten on its own.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED- The kits;

Jars ( I used Coffee and Nutella)
Hot Chocolate Mix (Powder)
Marshmallows
Biscuits TIP; Make sure they will fit in the jars.
Chocolates

DECORATION;
I used washy tape , ribbon and bows

WHAT YOU WILL NEED- Chocolate Stirrer; MAKES 15

Chocolate mould case (Poundland have loads)
Chocolate bars ( 300g)
Decoration; Sprinkles
Sticks or Straws
A Small amount of the hot chocolate powder *Optional*

READY!

THE KIT
Made sure that the jars are washed and I would decorate them first as if you do it after the layers would be ruined.

Measure equally the hot chocolate powder into the jars. TIP; Make a cone shape item (could be Paper).
Add the Marshmallows.

Add the biscuits; TIP- Place them around the outside so you can see them.

Add the chocolates; I choose reindeer to make it christmassy.

You can leave them there or..

Add The Chocolate Stirrer;

TO MAKE;

Wash the mould to make sure it is completely dried.

I used a water bath to melt the chocolate which I found was best but could use a microwave.

Add the decoration first to the mould

Spoon the melted chocolate into the moulds; the neater the better.

Add the sticks/ straws
(IF USING STRAWS) Cut the straws to how long you want the sticks; TIP- Remember they have to be long enough to use in a mug/ cup.

Sprinkle the how chocolate powder over the top for decoration

Place in Fridge/Freezer and leave to set.

Then add them to the hot chocolate kits.

DECORATION USES;

They can clean the kit out and because you have decorated it , they can add a candle. Then they have a christmas tea light. *BEWARE OF THE ADD DECORATIONS*

So Thats my kits all ready for christmas.

Let me know if you make them and how they go

DIY Personalised Christmas Decorations | Gee's Grotto

Cooee,

So Gee's Grotto is all about Christmas , this includes mainly present ideas and decorations ideas.

So I love little DIY's and I got the idea while searching for presents for my friends. However, I didn't find anything that I thought was worth buying.

I decided to make them personalised tree decorations that they will keep forever.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED;

Scrabble Letters ( EBAY LINK) Tip - Check the amount of letters that you will need before buying.

Glue Gun or Strong glue

Ribbon or String

Scissors

1) Arrange your letters so that you don't waste time.

2)Start gluing the letters together. If you are using a hot glue gun please be careful! Also you may need to hold the pieces together while it dries a bit

3) Do this for all of your names

4) Measure your ribbon beforehand so that it forms a loop

5) Using the glue make close that it ribbon is looped

6) Using the glue again, fasten the ribbon into place. I pushed the ribbon into the middle square of each name.

So here's the finished product;

I hope that you liked this little DIY, Let me know if you make them and if they worked for you.

Ideas For Dads | Gee's Grotto

Cooee,

So Gee's Grotto is all about Christmas , this includes mainly present ideas and decorations ideas.

So I'm always struggling for ideas for presents for my dad. But this year , I actually had a few this year which surprised me. Here are some;

1) Box of Treats

My idea is to do a box full of my dads favourite things. These would include his favourite sweets , films and Cd's. That way you know that your dad will like it. I plan on putting useful things such as socks ( My Dads classic want) , also, some fun items that will humour him.

Also it can be as expensive as you want. (LINK)

2) Band Tickets

When my dad was younger he always went to see bands. I know that some of his favourite bands are touring so I have found tickets which I can get him. You could look at this like a daddy and daughter/son day. Treat your dad this Christmas.

3) Wallets

Every dad needs one. Perfect as a last minute gift as watches. (LINK)

4) This is not a gift but a helping tip.

Listen and remember everything he says. For example, I knew about my dads favourite bands because we had a conversation about one of their songs randomly.

I hope that this gave you some ideas. I will link some websites which helped me;

My Tiny DIY | Pot Organiser

Cooee,

well, I have been wanting to sort out my room for a while now so I got a sweet pot given to me so I thought I would show you what I did with it....

By the way... this is SO SIMPLE

What you will need;

A tube or pot ( preferably clear)

Paintbrush

Paint ( Mines Pink Acrylic )

Decoration of your choice

READY!

First, I had to get rid of the sticker which was on the pot. ( I used water and scissors worked a trick :D )
Then I had to dry it.

I used newspaper over my floor and put the paint on that.

I then painted the tub , making sure that the paint was in the same direction so it would not look weird when dry.

Here's my first coat and I did to do MANY more!

Here's my fourth....

Finally, I got this which was thickly painted. I didn't pain the bottom but around the edge of it.

To make it more me and match my room more, I added this shiny ribbon which I would usually put around presents.

I used my to put hair brushes in but Nail varnishes or makeup brushes would by good too.

I hope to do more little DIY posts because like I said I'm in the middle of organising my room.
