A Winter Essential

Cooee,

So I have been super busy with school and university that blogging has not been able to fit in. Where I have been stressed and worried about deadlines and interviews , my body has been taking the fall for it.

I'm tired all the time and the weather at the moment is so cold which is never a positive. But today's post is all about a little cheap product which at the minute is a life saver.

Its Superdrug's own Lip and Cold Sore Cream.

A while ago, my lips which incredible sore and i had beeen trying all the best known product ranging from remedies to the expensive lip balms. BUt this was the only product which helped them and I have found myself going back to it every time and during the winter it has become a vital part of my night routine.

At the minute, my lips are so sore and I thought that why not write a recommendation post. LIke it says on the packaging it's for cold sores and dry cracked lips. I use it for the latter but it does really work.

The product is super cheap and I have found that it works within a day or two. It has a thick consistance but thins out once applied to your lips. Also its great hand bag size.

Its an essential for me especially at the minute as my lips are so dry.

Let me know what products you use for when you have dry chapped lips or if you have even tried this product.

February Favourites

Cooee,

So its that time again , Favourite time! This month has been busy for me. I've had mock exams and birthdays including mine. So I have a couple of products which I have been loving this month.

Fashion

French Connection Blouse!
I have been loving this! It was a present from my mum for my birthday and I love the print. I have been wearing it with my high waist jeans and my Zara Boots which leads me on to my next item

Zara Boots!
I have been wearing them to school, shopping and for general days out. They are so comfortable and were a treat to myself. At only £10 in the sale , I couldn't say no!

Make Up

Collection Liner!

I have been loving adding a small flick to my everyday make up. I have read loads of positive reviews on collection liners. So I decided to try one. I'm hoping to write a review soon.

Bourjois Volume Mascara!

I have been wanting my lashes to be long and separate. Before, my everyday mascara made my lashes more thick and added a small curl. This mascara makes my lashes look amazing compared.

Lifestyle

Red - Taylor Swift!

I had my ipod on shuffle and a song from Taylor Swift's Red album came on and I forgot how good her Album was. I have also been loving her newest album too!

Sticky Page Tabs!

Weird! I know but since I've been revising for mocks, I have been organising all my work (especially for sociology!). I have found that they have helped me find my work and if I was stuck on an area, I could easily find the notes.

So that's some of my favourites so this month. Let me know what you have been loving this month

January Favourites

Cooee,

Well I feel as though I haven't done one of these in a while and I have been loving some old favourites this month. So shall I start. I have mainly beauty items so they will be first.

Beauty;

1) Rimmel BB Cream
I have done a review on this HERE before and I didn't love it that much. But because of its claim to help blemishes I tried it again. My skin has been abit angry recently and I want to cover it up and this foundation not only has high coverage for something so light but has helped my skin. Would recommend this to any angry skin! Also to improve the slight colour difference I use the lightest amount when applying

2) Superdry Eye Duo Pallete
I would never go to superdry for makeup but for Christmas my uncle got me a superdry makeup set. This pallete has a shiny shimmer yellow which surprisingly I love over the whole lid and a matte with a tiny amount of shimmer Brown which I love in the crease and blended out. I have worn this everyday to school since.

3) Clear Complexion Powder Rimmel

Again linking with the BB Cream , I found that this over the top helps blemishes too. Hopefully the clue in the name helps but it helps angry spots. Its translucent which means its not heavy or cakey.
Rimmel is great for blemish helping makeup I found this month especially.

Fashion;

1) Topshop Top
Even though I have had such trouble with this top. I LOVE it! Basically Topshop left the security tag on it and there was a load of drama with them to get it off but lucky I had a really lovely lady called Ella who helped. It was in the sale and I have included it in a look book HERE.

2) Scarfs

I am not a scarf or snood person. I usually get brought them for presents rather than me buying them myself. But this month especially because I've had a rotten cold so they help keep me warm and I have been loving styling them with my outfits too. (Left to Right; Dorothy Perkins, Boohoo.com, New Look and Select)

Lifestyle;

I was likely enough to go see Paolo Nutini this month with my Dad and it was the best relaxed concert Ive been too. He is amazing live better than through headphones (often on the way to and from school). I got a new camera for Christmas and I got some amazing shots. Favourite songs are Cherry Blossom and Candy.

Also we ,as a family, are doing the classic lets get healthy and fit. Its been going well and recently we have brought a soup maker. So weirdly my favourite is soup.

Let me know what your favourites are of this month.

November Favourites

Cooee,

It feels like I haven't done one of these in a while. So I will start with my makeup favourites , I have been trying to change my everyday makeup recently and I think that I have found my perfect routine. I have chosen a couple of m favourite products from this.

Makeup;
So the first favourite is BB Cream Rimmel. In my products wars post (HERE), I said that it was quite dark for my skin. But since I have a tan from my holiday , I have been using it as it suits my skin colour more. My skin has got some angry blemishes recently from the stress of A-Levels and this product helps them. I would recommend this product if you hate the feel of foundation as it has more of a lighter coverage.

My brush favourite has to be Real Techniques Powder Brush. I love how it packs just the right amount of powder on my face without looking cake-y. I used to use an AVON brush for powder and I love it but now it's left in my brush holder.

Avon Eyebrow Pencil, I usually use powder but since I have become more lazy with my brows, I have been drawing them on with a pencil. This was my first pencil that I used when I started dealing with the brows and I forgot how much I loved it.

Fashion;

So I only have two favourites for fashion for this month. My first is a crop top from Miss Selfridge. It's got a daisy floral pattern and has a collar. I wore this to school the other day and I got people asking where I got it from. I was worried that it was too loud for me but obviously not.( Sadly I cant find a link)

Next I have been leaving in black jeans and I never thought that I would be a person to wear black jeans. I love how they go with everything and my most worn pair have to be from New look. They are a jeggings but demin material.

Music;

Taylor Swift- Blank Spaces- (LINK)
I love Taylor. I still haven't got her albums yet but I have heard amazing things. I'm hoping that I get it for Christmas!

One Direction- Four (LINK)
This album! I love the boys but sadly I only like the second half. I feel like a horrible fan but some of the songs annoy me. God I feel horrible for saying that. My favourites have to be Clouds , spaces and act my age.

Let me know your favourites of this month.

Georgias Favourites | FRIEND TAKEOVER #1

Cooee,

This week, Gee’s blog will be taken over by Georgia and Rachael! We are Gee’s friends and as she is on holiday this week, we agreed to do a Favourites on behalf of her whilst she is enjoying some well deserved sunshine! Neither of us are as good as fashion/beauty like Gee is, so instead of doing a Favourites based on just clothes or make up products, we are going to do an everything Favourites!

Georgia’s Favourites

To kick things off, I will start on the theme of decor. This piece of wall art is something that I adore, I have had it a while but I love how cute and simple it is. My room has the theme of green so it matches it so well. This was from Dunelm Mill and only cost £4.99.

Next, I have 3 sets of fairy lights in my room that I thought deserved a place in my favourites because I absolutely love them. I have a pink fluffy set, a pink flower set and a butterfly set that all hang in various places in my room. They give my room a cosy feel when they are switched on and are really pretty. I don’t know how much the pink flower set was and I don’t know where they are from because I got them so long ago. However both the pink fluffy set and the butterfly set are both from Argos with the prices ranging from £14.99-£19.99.

This month I got the iPhone 5c because I thought it was about time I needed an upgrade from my previous Blackberry. I managed to get a deal with Vodafone which included 4GB of data, unlimited texts and unlimited calls for £21.30 a month. I think it was this cheap because the new iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have just come out (they were both way too expensive for me to afford, hahaha) I got the blue 5c but I did originally want the green. However, the blue has grown on me and I have actually started to like it a lot more. I still need to get a case because I am very clumsy so I am likely to drop it sooner rather than later!

I got 2 flower garlands for my Birthday in August which are from Claire’s. These are easy to be able to pull off and can make a simple outfit stand out more. I have two different colours, the pink and the daisy which can both easily go with anything. These were both £3.99 each

I have 3 nail varnishes which were also birthday gifts. The green and the burgundy are both Kelly Brook nail varnishes which were both £1 each from New Look. They last really well and I like these colours because they are very autumnal to match the weather we have in October. The pink one is a beauty UK nail varnish. This was £2.99 from boots and lasts very long. I had it on for about a week without it chipping, I would strongly recommend this nail varnish.

In terms of skin care, I use these three items in my morning/night time routine. (From left to right) I use the clear skin gel after I use the exfoliator and cleanser. I put it on at night so it can reduce the redness of any blemishes overnight which are visibly better by the morning. It was £3.99 from Avon. Next is the facial cleanser. This is from Wilko and you can get 2 for £1.50. It makes your skin feel softer and is good for removing any make up. Lastly is the St. Ives exfoliator. This works really well in order to un-clog your pores. I’m not sure where this was from or the price of it but it does work really well and makes your skin feel better!

Moving onto clothing, I have a dress which is one of my all-time favourite dresses. I love it so much that I have had it since 2012! It came from New Look and was £29.99. Although it may seem a bit pricey, it was good value because as you can see, it has lasted ages. I love it so much because you can wear it pretty much every season because it can easily be worn with leggings. It looks best matched with either a pair of boots or some white/black converse/vans.

My next item of clothing is some trousers I purchased not long ago. These are also from new look and cost £19.99. They are very comfortable as they are made out of stretchy material and the burgundy colour means they are perfect for the autumnal season. They look best matched with a white/black blouse and a pair of boots.

My final item of clothing is a pair of shorts that I got from New Look. They cost £14.99 which I thought wasn’t bad value. They are good for autumn because they can be worn with tights and a cardigan. They look best matched with a pair of black boots for a casual look.

Frilly socks are an item that I am loving at the moment. They can easily add a cute edge to an outfit. I got them from Primark because they are very cheap and come in a variety of colours. They are £1.50 for a pair. They can be worn with converse, vans and boots.

My final Favourites item is a pair of boots that I have literally not stopped wearing. They go with everything which is why I love them so much. They were £19.99 in New Look which is not bad value as they are really good quality. I can wear these with dresses, skirts, shorts and jeans. They were my favourite purchase this month due to their versatility with items of clothing!

I have really enjoyed writing this for Gee’s blog this week! It has been great being able to collect ideas together for the sake of helping out a friend. Thank you for reading and please be sure to share Gee’s blog with your friends because it would really help her out.
Thank you!

August Favourites

Cooee,

Well this month went so fast , it feels like yesterday that I was writing my July favourites. This month I have not done that much shopping wise , just a few short trips here and there. I have been doing work experience for the summer so I have been busy doing that. Due to that I don't have as many favourites as I have had  nothing new to try but I have a feeling with a new school coming up and being able to FINALLY wear my own clothes that I will have more next favourites. I have a collective haul coming up soon from the shopping trips.

So first I think that I will talk fashion as it usually start with beauty. So this months weather has been interesting. We had a couple weeks of really nice weather which if you look at my Instagram ( on the slide bar) you would see from my days at the beach and parks out with my friends. But apart from the sun , we have had a some rainy and cold days.

The item of clothing that I have been loving has been my Levi grey cardigan. The shape is very boxy as it's very loose and square on the body and tight fitting on the arms. But even though it has box shaping , the strap of material around the neck and sides is waterfall. I love this and have been wearing it with jeans and leggings along with a plain top. I have a feeling that in the colder months it will be used even more.

Shoes next. I love them and I feel that I abandon some so I thought I would change my shoes around. Even though they are Primark , these light brown brogues have lasted me ages. They are so comfortable to wear with a pair of pop socks ( so the are not seen) or cute pastel coloured socks. They go with pretty much every outfit and make it look smart casual.

It seems that I only have one beauty favourite , it's the max factor False Lash Effect Mascara ( Review Coming soon) . This mascara is not one of my usual mascaras but I have been loving it to add to my eye make up. It not only makes them more volumised but also look natural. I understand that it's meant to look like false lash which it does but in a natural looking way.

Random favourites, I don't know if you have read my blog before but I went to see Divergent in the Cinema and I wrote a small review of it. I really enjoyed it and I read all 3 books in a week! It recently came out of DVD in the UK and my dad got me it to watch as he knows I'm obsessed. I watched it the night I got it along with the night after.

I got Pinterest ages ago and I could not get into it but when I was struck for ideas of College outfits that's where I went. I spent ages on it and got so much inspiration from it that when I went shopping with friends I kept checking my finds. Would recommend to anyone who is bored and wants inspiration; Fashion, Art, Makeup or Gifts.
(NOT MY IMAGE)

That's some of my favourites of the month. I hope you have enjoyed your summer as I feel that it is over now :(

Let me know some of your favourites:)

July Favourites

Cooee,

So its come to the end of the month which can only mean one thing and one thing only , Favourites time.

So I will start with my fashion favourites and the first being my Birkenstocks. I know that some people may not like them but I love them and they are so comfortable. Mine I think are the Madrid ones which have only one strap. They do come in different colours and styles but I liked these ones and I got the colour as it was the only one they had in my size at the time. I have been wearing these pretty much everyday of the month of July so they had to be in my favourites. (BUY HERE)

Next are the BEST BUY EVER , they are sunglasses by Roberto Cavalli. I got them during my trip to Glastonbury from an outlet centre. Originally being £260 I got them for £20!!!! They were from a place called Sunglasses hut ( I think) I know the shop and they stock all the big brands. I love these they have a gold frame and they are quite light. The only bad thing is that they don't keep out much light. (CLICK HERE)

This dress was in a recent post, I have worn this dress a couple times this moth to parties or events so I thought that it would be fitting to put it in my favourites. (BLOG POST)

BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Also recently I have added to my everyday makeup eye shadow which is quite a big step for me as I wear very little makeup which is quick and easy. Even though its summer, I have been using matte browns as its quite neutral. The palette which I have been using to do that is MUA Matte palette. Its only £4 from superdrug and its an amazing palette. They do a range so I would go and check that out!  (BUY HERE)

Foundation time! My favourite of the month has been - Drum roll please- Rimmel Wake Me Up! I have got a slight tan at the moment and the shade I brought this in is slightly darker than my normal shade so its perfect. It has good coverage but if I remember correctly there's not main shade options but I would go and have a good anyway! you never know! (BUY HERE)

I have been growing my nails and painting them lots of different colours but my favourite has been Barry M Gelly Nails - Huckleberry! Its a pale sky blue to pastel blue. I have been loving pastel colours this summer. I chip my nails really easier and so far it has not chipped so bad that I need to repaint nails. (BUY HERE)

MUSIC FAVOURITE

I have been loving all the dance music on Radio 1 but I have been listening to SIA Chandelier! I love this song and the music video is... interesting! It has Dance mom's Maddie dancing in the videos. (WATCH HERE)

That's all my favourites of the month of July! Hope you enjoyed them and let me know your favourites!

June Favourites

Cooee,

Well I have not done a favourites in ages. So I thought that since I'm off school for the summer and don't have a job yet ( I will get one!!!) that I would write more blog posts and organise things.

So let's start with some of my beauty favourites shall we?

First is my sleek face palette which I used for my prom. It was around £9 I think which has a matte bronzer ( reason I brought it) , a blusher and a highlighter which was an added bonus. It's worth the money and I have seen the urban decay one before I brought it and even though I have not used it , I would say that the shades are pretty much the same. (Buy Here)

Next is the bourjois velvet lipstick which is in the shade 2. I love this it stayed on all night. It is like a stain and all I did was top it up to make it more bold. Love! Love! Love! (Buy Here)

So that's not many beauty favourites but here are some of my fashion favourites

Well it's weirdly my sunglasses. My old ones were broken so I went to Primark to get a new pair. I do have expensive glasses but I'm scared to wear them in case I break them so I just buy cheaper ones. I loved the Daisy's on them. I have been wearing them strangely in our British weather.

Next is a pair of shoes, jelly shoes for that matter. They were from boohoo for £10 and I have been wearing them with pretty much everything. They are so comfy and I love the colour. ( Buy Here)

That's pretty much my fashion favourites , I have not been shopping in ages but I'm going to go soon for college clothes.

But I couple of my random favourites have been these ice creams from Cadbury. I love ice cream and these taste so good. Not only do the have chocolate on the outside but they have chocolate swirled in the ice cream.

Next I have been loving Paulo Nutini, he's voice is amazing and I really wanna see him live. Plus he's not bad looking either which is always a added bonus.

So that's my favourites for the past month. Let me know your favourites of June.

April favourites

Cooee, so it's that time again.

I only have a couple of favourites because I have been busy with school and other bits and pieces to really go shopping or try new products really.

So my first favourite is to do with hair care . It's Moroccan Argan Oil treatment, I washed my hair the day before and it felt all dry so I put this through it after I straightened it. Wow!! My hair has been silky soft since and it's so glossy. It smells amazing too. I got it from savers which is a store with lots of products that are cheaper than the bigger stores. It was only £1!£1! I would pay more for it but I'm not complaining!

With Easter , I did not get chocolate , I got money because it's more useful really. But my best friend got me a malteasers egg and inside was these teasers. I have never tried them before ... And I am annoyed at myself for not buying these! They are so good! For this's who don't know , they are malteasers crushed and then put in a chocolate bar. So good and I only have two left so I need to buy more:)

The YouTuber Tanya Burr brought out a lips and nails range which has lots of different colours that would suit anybody. I have the lip gloss in Afternoon Tea. I'm actually wearing it now as I'm typing this and I love it. It's a pink nude , it's not sticky and does not move off your lips once applied.

Next is this real techniques blush brush. It's so soft and it's perfect for applying your blusher to your cheeks. It blends the blush into your checks.

So in the picture below are my next two favourites. First is the drink which is a sticky toffee frappe from my local coffee shop. I don't know if they do them at Costa or Starbucks because I have not looked. It's so good - I understand that because it's from my local coffee shop that it may not be available but if you happen to come across one try it and you will never look back. I have whipped cream and white chocolate sauce on top , I'm not a massive lover of coffee but I love these.

Next are my sunglasses, we went to London a couple of weeks ago and the weather was the best we have had all year. They are aviator style and there were from Primark about two years ago. When in Britain you don't need to buy new sunglasses because you never use them a lot. They were a two pound I think , mine are breaking so I'm going to have to find a new pair.

( nail varnish - max factor forever glam)

Another favourite which is music and that's the Vamps album Meet the Vamps! I love the vamps and me and my best friend have tickets to see them. I love how every song is different and they are so catchy too. Move My way is currently my favourite song off the album !

So that's all my favourites not a lot.
